The final (home) game of a season that has been fantastic over long periods and which, ultimately, was unexpectedly successful, sees the Borussia Dortmund U23s take on Borussia Mönchengladbach's second team on Saturday (14:00 CET) in the Rote Erde stadium.

Up until the 25. March, when the U23s were defeated 2-3 at home by the team which has since guaranteed first place for themselves, Viktoria Cologne, Daniel Farke's team still had a great chance to claim the title for themselves and with that, participation in the game for promotion to the 3. Bundesliga. Since the disappointing way in which that game developed (Borussia's boys led the game twice), things have not been running as they were previously, especially in attack.

In the subsequent eight games, there was only one victory – and the last six were all draws.

The boys from Borussia are currently in fourth place, but could overtake Gladbach with a win, and must hope that Oberhausen collect two fewer points than them in their remaining two games. (br)
