"We're extremely proud of the lads," said Youth Coordinator Lars Ricken. "Not just for how they played in the two semi-finals, but for how they have handled all the injury setbacks too. At times we've been missing ten youth internationals." Here are the reactions on reaching the final.

Benjamin Hoffmann: "We, the coaches, are just incredibly proud to be able to work with these lads. The coaching staff, physios, parents, the transport service –they were all here today. We did a lot through set-pieces. We knew that would be our best bet to score and after taking the lead we used the space they left us. The lads absolutely wanted to play in Brackel today, because we'd worked hard for the chance to play here in the Final Round. Now we're excited to play at Signal Iduna Park. I hope the lads enjoy it but, most importantly, get the right result. We don't need to motivate them any more, but they cannot let themselves be distracted now if we want to achieve our major objective."

Lars Ricken: "We're extremely proud of the lads. Not just for how they played in the two semi-finals, but for how have they have handled all the injury setbacks too. At times we've been missing ten youth internationals. It is wonderful that the lads are now competing for the German Championship title. I believe that we showed slightly more passion today, especially in defence. The lads gave very little away and were ruthless with their chances at the other end."

Dzenis Burnic: "It was a tough match as we expected. We were a man down and we had to play beyond our limits today. A huge compliment to everyone, that was outstanding! We gave everything today. And now we're in the final and it's at home to boot, so of course we want to win it."

Felix Passlack: "We gave it everything today, played with heart and soul and got the goals that we needed."

Hüseyn Bulut: "It feels really good, a great comeback. The coach gave me the chance and I was able to take it today. For the goal I didn't actually see that the goalkeeper wasn't back in his goal yet, I just took a shot – and it went in."

Luca Kilian: "Sensational, absolutely brilliant that we've gone and done it. With ten men too, absolutely brilliant. It's overwhelming, I can hardly find the words to describe it. We had all those setbacks but we stuck together – and now we've made it into the final."
