Borussia Dortmund have set up a dream clash with Real Madrid in the final of the 2017 International RUHR Cup – the world's largest U19 tournament – which will be played at the Rote Erde stadium on Sunday (11:15 CET).

BVB reached the final by knocking out FC Schalke 04 for the second successive year, this time overcoming their local rivals 3-2 on penalties after normal time had ended goalless in their semi-final meeting at the Am Badewieher stadium in Marl. Julian Schwermann, Tobias Raschl and Luca Kilian all scored in the shootout for the Black & Yellows, who were saved by the woodwork on one occasion.

Real Madrid overcame Ferencvaros by a 1-0 scoreline in the other semi-final. The surprise package from Hungary will now face Schalke 04 in the third-place playoff on Sunday (kick-off at 10:00 CET). (wiwi)
