Maximilian Philipp went up against his old club in Freiburg, and was not completely satisfied with BVB's performance. "A single point is not enough." However, in an interview with BVBtotal!, he was already looking ahead to the contest against Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

Maximilian, had you imagined your return to Freiburg as a BVB player a little differently?
"Of course, we wanted nothing other than the win. A point is not enough, and we're disappointed as a result. Now we have to review the game and see where we need to improve."

What was your take on the situation with the video assistant when Freiburg picked up a red card?
"It is really quite annoying how much time you lose when the video evidence is being reviewed. I didn't get a great view of the situation, but I was sure it was a foul. As soon as I saw Schmelle's reaction I thought it might be something worse. I think Schmelle is pretty tough. In retrospect, it looked pretty bad. I wish him all the best."

"I dreamed of it as a child"

You are about to make your Champions League debut. On Wednesday you play against Tottenham at Wembley. Are you already excited about the game?
"Not so much right now, I was really totally focused on the match here in Freiburg. The preparation for Tottenham will begin on Sunday. But of course, I dreamed of playing in the Champions League as a child, and now it is about to become reality. (grins) Let's see what happens."  (djg)
