Borussia Dortmund clearly dominated in front of their own fans, creating 22 shots (their opponents had six), recording 74 percent possession and condemning Köln to their heaviest defeat under Peter Stöger.

Consistently top: Borussia Dortmund have been top of the table after every round of matches this term. It is a feat the Black & Yellows have never previously managed at the start of a Bundesliga campaign.

Perfect defensive record: It is only the second time that Borussia Dortmund have not conceded a single goal in their opening four Bundesliga matches. The first time was the title-winning season of 2001/02.

Quick off the mark: BVB's opener, which came in the second minute, was their fastest Bundesliga goal since Marco Reus netted in the first minute against Mainz in April 2013.

Goal-hungry: It is the first time this season a team has scored five goals in one game.

Flying start: Andrey Yarmolenko has only started twice for BVB but he has made an impact on both occasions. Having scored against Spurs, he set up the first against Köln and then took the corner that led to the second.

Drought over: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first-ever goals against Köln. He has now scored against every club currently in the Bundesliga.

Mr. Consistency: Sokratis has now scored in each of his seven Bundesliga seasons. He has netted on more occasions in 2017 (three) than in any previous calendar year.

Debut: Alexander Isak made his first appearance in the Bundesliga.

Back in action: Julian Weigl made his comeback following an injury layoff of over four months. He played 25 minutes in the second half, touching the ball 36 times.

Home run extended: Having avoided a home defeat during Thomas Tuchel's tenure, Borussia Dortmund have extended their record unbeaten home run under Peter Bosz and have now not tasted defeat in the Bundesliga in front of their own fans for 40 matches.

Another run continues: The Black and Yellows have not lost at home to the Billy Goats since 1991. During this period, they have won 15 and drawn four against the men from the cathedral city. (br)
