Coach Peter Stöger and Julian Weigl were satisfied as they spoke to Sky after the 1-1 draw with Rasenballsport Leipzig. The midfielder felt he had seen a step forward, saying: "Today we showed an entirely different side."

Peter Stöger: "Today I felt the performance of the team was really good. After Augsburg the team had the impression that we hadn't been quite on our game. But today we were present from the start against a very good opponent that is difficult to defend against, that has incredible quality going forward. Today I am very satisfied with what I saw over 90 minutes. For the equalising goal it was an outstanding pass. That's exactly how we wanted to play the through-balls. Leipzig are a really good team, you could see that today. But if you pick out the right moment, you can hurt them."

Julian Weigl: "The three points would of course have been important, but it was a step forward tonight. We showed an entirely different side compared to the match against Augsburg. We were more agile going forward, pressed higher up the pitch. It was a very entertaining game for the fans. With a bit of luck we could have gone ahead. The way we responded today was very good."

Ralph Hasenhüttl (Rasenballsport Leipzig coach): "All in all, a draw is a fair result. We were not playing against a bad opponent, so a point is a decent result."
