BVB have tended to enjoy squaring off against VfL Wolfsburg. Matches between the two teams are usually high-scoring affairs, with their previous meetings producing more than three goals a game on average. Below we have compiled all the important information on Saturday's home game (kick-off 15:30 CET) in the usual compact format.

The scenario: Since being defeated in the 2015 DFB Cup final, Borussia Dortmund have not lost any of their seven Bundesliga meetings with VfL Wolfsburg. There have been six wins and one draw for the Black & Yellows during that run. However, Bruno Labbadia's team have only lost one of their last seven matches in the league and will travel to Signal Iduna Park in seventh place in the Bundesliga table.

Home/away: BVB have won seven of their last eight home games and have not lost in front of their own fans since May 2018. They have already taken 35 points from their 13 home games this term, which is more than they picked up in the whole of last season (31 points from 17 matches). Meanwhile, Wolfsburg have only lost one of their past four away matches (a 6-0 defeat in Munich) and already have seven wins on the road this term.

Personnel matters: BVB will be without the injured Pulisic and Philipp, while Piszczek is not yet ready to return either. According to kicker magazine, the Wolves will be without Camacho and Ginczek is not yet ready to return to action.

Head-to-head record: Dortmund have been the far superior side in recent clashes, winning six and drawing one of their previous seven meetings with a combined goal difference of 19-3. In the past four matches, they haven't even conceded a single goal. VfL Wolfsburg have only suffered more Bundesliga defeats and conceded more goals against Bayern Munich (34/109) than they have against Borussia Dortmund (24/88), and they have suffered more defeats from winning positions against the Black & Yellows than any other team. BVB have found the net in each of their previous 18 meetings with Wolfsburg, scoring 47 goals in total, and have only lost one of their last 10 home games against the Wolves.

Statistics: Borussia Dortmund have won three of their past four league games and only lost one of their last 10. Wolfsburg have already kept eight clean sheets this season. They have not had a single player sent off this term.

Biggest home win: BVB have previously beaten VfL at home by a four-goal margin on four occasions. The most recent of those wins was a 5-1 victory on 30 April 2016 courtesy of goals from Kagawa (7), Ramos (9), Reus (59) and a quick-fire Aubameyang brace (77/78). At the other end, Schürrle (86) grabbed a late consolation for the Wolves.

Attendance: Signal Iduna Park is sold out with 81,365 fans set to attend. The 2,800 away fans will be sitting in the North-East corner (55/56 + 58/59).

Referee: Markus Schmidt will be officiating a match involving BVB for the 13th time. The Black & Yellows have won nine, drawn two and lost one of the previous 12 games overseen by the Stuttgart native.
