He just can't stop: Erling Haaland found the back of the net again on Saturday evening, scoring a penalty to give his nation the lead. In the end, Norway ran out 2-0 winners in the World Cup qualifier against Latvia.

Having already found the net against the Netherlands in a direct duel with his teammate Donyell Malen, Dortmund's number 9 was able to record another goal. Haaland was on the pitch for 87 minutes as his Norwegian side won 2-0.

After almost two years of absence from the national team, Marco Reus has made his return for Germany: the BVB captain came on to replace Jamal Musiala in the 60th minute in Thursday night's World Cup qualifier versus Liechtenstein. It was Reus's first game in a Germany shirt since October 2019. The BVB player even wore the captain's armband until the final whistle after Joshua Kimmich's substitution.  Mo Dahoud watched on from the bench for the full 90 minutes. In the end, Germany ran out 2-0 (1-0) winners over Liechtenstein.

Elsewhere, Axel Witsel scored Belgium's fourth goal in a 5-2 win over Estonia, while Jude Bellingham was an unused substitute as England won 4-0 in Hungary. Gio Reyna was also in World Cup qualifying action for the USA: the young Black & Yellow star played the full 90 minutes as his country drew 0-0 with El Salvador.

Youssoufa Moukoko made his debut for the national team at U21 level on Thursday night. The BVB youngster managed to break two records in his first match for the Germany U21s in the EURO qualifier against San Marino. At 16 years and 286 days, Moukoko is the youngest ever player to represent Germany at U21 level. The Black & Yellow then added to this record by scoring two goals in the space of two minutes to make it 3-0 (39) and then 4-0 (41), meaning Moukoko goes down in history as the youngest ever U21 goalscorer. The BVB player was substituted off in the 73rd minute as Germany celebrated a 6-0 (5-0) win.
