In his first game for BVB, he scored three goals against Augsburg. In the first away game of 2014, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged a brace for BVB in the 2-1 win over Braunschweig to secure their first three points of the second half of the season.

“I’m very happy about the win,“ said Aubameyang in a post-game interview with Sky, adding: “It was a difficult game, and we knew from the start that we would need to work hard.”

On Friday, he scored his 10th and 11th goal of the season. He’s now not only the most dangerous midfielder in the Bundesliga, he also joined teammate Robert Lewandowski and Hertha’s Ramos at the top of the scorer’s chart. “I struggled in the beginning,” admitted Aubameyang. “We all struggled to get into the game. But the longer the game went, the better we got. We created a lot of chances, especially in the second half.”

For the fourth time this season, Lewandowski made a goal for him. “I have to thank Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus for setting up my goals nicely. They are both great players.”

Whilst only been named in the starting line-up at Signal Iduna Park on five out of nine occasions, the Gabon midfielder started his ninth away game in a row for BVB. And for the third time this season, he scored at least two goals. In Braunschweig, he had two shots on target, and both found the net. Aubameyang: “After four games without a win, this win was important for us - for the mind and the points tally.“
