After BVB’s comprehensive and well-deserved 5-1 win over Werder Bremen, Manuel Friedrich and Nuri Sahin gave their thoughts on the game to Sky television.

Manuel Friedrich: “I wanted to give something back to the club. At the end of last year, I was signed up as a kind of a stopgap, and just wanted to help the team from the start. I had one or two poor games, and being a very self-critical kind of person, I was very dissatisfied. Hopefully I was now able to repay some of the trust placed in me.”

Nuri Sahin: “This was really an enjoyable game, and when we are enjoying ourselves these kinds of results are possible. This convincing win is extremely important for us. And for a change, we were not in danger of dropping points and put in a commanding display. That’s good for our confidence, especially with such a busy schedule in the next couple of weeks.”
