Henrikh Mkhitaryan played 62 minutes for Armenia in the 2-0 defeat to Russia in Krasnodar, while Nuri Sahin was substituted in the final minute of Turkey’s 2-1 win over Sweden in Ankara.

Tough luck for goalkeeper Mitch Langerak who, after coming on at half-time in Australia’s friendly with Ecuador, was sent off after only 12 minutes on the pitch for a professional foul after he was sold short on a back pass.

Kevin Grosskreutz (90 minutes) and Marcel Schmelzer (introduced on 24 minutes) played for Germany in their 1-0 win over Chile, while Roman Weidenfeller was on the bench as the substitute goalkeeper. Jonas Hofmann and Erik Durm were both brought on at halftime in the 2-0 defeat to Spain of Germany’s Under-21 team on Tuesday.

After consultation with the Gabon football association, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stayed in Dortmund and sat out the friendly against Morocco in Marrakesh, while Sokratis missed Greece’s game against Korea due to heel and Achilles niggles.

Marian Sarr and Jeremy Dudziak featured for Germany’s Under-19 side in a 1-1 draw with Italy, and Milos Jojic played with Serbia’s U21 side against Belgium (3-0).
