Knut Kircher from Rottenburg, Württemberg will officiate the Bundesliga match between 1. FC Köln and Borussia Dortmund. The 46-year-old has already refereed 30 BVB league games. The Black and Yellows' record when the mechanical engineer has been in charge is a positive one: 15 victories, six draws and nine defeats.

Knut Kircher is married and has three children. He lives in Rottenburg (Württemberg) and TSV Hirschau is his hometown club. Skiing, cycling and inline skating are among his interests. Kircher has been a Bundesliga referee since September 2001 and a FIFA referee since 2004.

He already has 236 Bundesliga matches under his belt. He will be helped by Robert Kempter and Thorsten Schiffner on the sidelines, with Günter Perl the fourth official.

Kircher refereed BVB three times in the 2014/15 season: a 3-2 victory in Augsburg on Matchday 2, a goalless draw away in Leverkusen on Matchday 18 and the 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich on 4 April 2015. (br)
