Borussia Dortmund have returned home. Late on Friday night the plane landed at Wickede airport as the team returned from Innsbruck. Coach Jürgen Klopp was, in general, very pleased with the way things had gone in the Kitzbuhel Alps and at Brixental where all the serious start-up work had been done.

It was especially pleasing that Neven Subotic was able to take a full part but as he got back to Germany he could not help but think of Brazil, “I have my fingers crossed for Mats in the Final on Sunday. We all knew he was the best central defender in the world before the tournament began and he has so justified that tag.”

On Saturday morning Subotic and the rest of the squad underwent a session of ‘looseners’. The only guy to miss out was Nuri Sahin who was still having a slight problem with his knee. He will continue to train and be monitored individually over the coming days. (br)
