Germany international Marco Reus has suffered a sprain as well as a bone bruise in his left ankle in Borussia Dortmund’s 1-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Sunday.

The ankle injury was confirmed following a scan at Dortmund’s Knappschaft Hospital on Monday. Reus is expected to be back in action in two weeks, according to BVB club doctor Markus Braun.

He will continue his recovery in Dortmund and has pulled out of Germany’s squad for their upcoming games against Gibraltar (14 November) and Spain (18 November).
