From 4 to 7 May, the BVB-Evonik Football Academy camp took place for the third time at the German School Shanghai Hongqiao. The demand for places on the camp was very high after last year's camp was called off due to coronavirus: 48 boys and girls from the German Schools Shanghai Hongqiao and Shanghai Yangpu went full throttle for four days.

The team, led by BVB coaches Marius Lorenz, Volkan Özkan and long-time coach Kenan Dizdarevic, was supported by the three motivated assistant coaches Momo, Maxi and Max.

The children had a lot of fun exercising: in numerous small games and competitions, the young athletes gave it their all – there were great passes, dribbles, tricks and goals to marvel at.

During the half-time breaks between the training sessions, the coaches emphasised the importance of trust and respect. In the Life Kinetik FUN® training, the children were also shown how the brain can be trained through small movements.

The participants took up the hunt for the lost trophy and were able to put their skills on show across various football challenges.

After the final Champions League tournament, the exhausted but happy participants were awarded their well-deserved certificates and medals.
