Information

Since summer 2018, the BVB Evonik Football Academy cooperates with the German school in Shanghai with two locations and a BVB representative (coach) on-site. The German School Shanghai is an official technical partner of the BVB Evonik Football Academy. In total, more than 200 students between 3-18 years train and play according to the BVB-youth philosophy. Besides the technical and tactical education, a huge factor lies on the devolepment of social values including the BVB-groundrules, which are mandatory for every student.

The BVB representative conducts regular coaching seminars to ensure the quality of the BVB-education. In order to honor the cooperation, the students wear BVB-shirts in different Shanghai football leagues. Additionally yearly BVB-camps and a BVB-schoolshop bring the black and yellow feeling to Shanghai.

Łukasz Piszczek's BVB Academy - Poland

  • image
  • image
  • image

Information:

BVB player Łukasz Piszczek established his own foundation on 4 December 2017. The goals of the foundation include in particular targeted, age-appropriate sports for children and young people, as well as the promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle. The foundation operates its own football academy, which is located in the city of Goczałkowice-Zdrój in a purpose-built, modern sports centre that is scheduled to start operating in 2019.

image

The aim of the football academy is to provide the best possible football training in Poland for children and young people between the ages of four and 19. In addition to football, the academy students are to receive comprehensive support in all areas (including language classes, nutritional workshops, etc.).

Borussia Dortmund supports the foundation and the establishment of the football academy with expertise, as well as name and logo usage rights. In return, the foundation runs non-commercial courses (and as far as legally possible) commercial vacation courses on behalf of BVB in Poland on a non-exclusive basis.

Location Goczalkowice – Zdroj

Infrastructure: the sports centre is located approx. 40 km from Katowice in a tourist and recreation area. Around 2.5 million people live in the Katowice region. The sports centre is owned by the Łukasz Piszczek Foundation and is located on a site leased by the foundation for 30 years. The entire site is currently being modernised. According to phase I of the plans, the facility will initially include two hybrid pitches and a small artificial turf pitch, two seating stands for 300 spectators each, as well as a building with six changing rooms, office space for at least ten employees, a training room for 30 people, a physio or rehabilitation area and showers.
