In January 2020, Baltimore, the largest city in the U.S. state of Maryland, hosted the world's largest soccer convention with an affiliated trade fair over five days. Representatives of numerous American clubs, professional clubs and European associations enjoyed the opportunity to attend lectures on many different topics.

Markus Pasdzior, Project Manager for International Activities of the BVB Evonik Football Academy, gave a presentation on the subject of "Borussia Dortmund-Inside Player Development" in front of about 450 interested participants. In addition to the strong Borussia Dortmund brand, the focus of the presentation was on the key aspects of training methodology. The Black & Yellows used the United Soccer Coaches Convention as a platform to present the traditional club on the international football stage and to strengthen BVB’s visibility and perception in the USA. The fact that BVB positioned itself strongly over the course of this convention has recently been reflected in the large number of requests for training camps in Dortmund. The total flying distance travelled of 6355.81 kilometres was therefore very worthwhile because Borussia Dortmund is perceived as a strong brand beyond these borders.
