On Tuesday, BVB will play TSV 1860 Munich in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. Around 1,500 BVB fans from Dortmund will travel to support BVB at the stadium on Grünwalder Strasse. We have put together the most important information for all travelling BVB fans.

Transport

Due to the heavy traffic around the Grünwalder stadium, we kindly ask all fans to arrive early. The stadium opens its doors at 18:45 CET.

Arriving by car:

  • Cars can be parked in the P&R facility at Mangfallplatz. Please note the height limit of 2.10 metres.
  • Address for your sat nav: Am Hollerbusch 22, 81547 München
  • From there, take the U1 (towards Olympia-Einkaufszentrum) two stops to the "Wettersteinplatz" stop.
  • Please note that there are no car parking spaces around the stadium.

Arriving by bus:

  • A small number of buses for away fans can park on Wettersteinplatz.
  • Address for your sat nav: Wettersteinplatz, 81547 München
  • BVB fans who are travelling in 9-seater vehicles should contact our fan representatives in advance.
  • The away stand is within walking distance from the car park.

Arriving by U-Bahn (underground):

  • Due to the traffic situation around the stadium, 1860 Munich expressly recommend that fans travel by public transport.
  • From Munich Central Station, rail passengers can take the U1 underground line (Mangfallplatz) to Wettersteinplatz.
  • The away stand is within walking distance from Wettersteinplatz.

Admission to the stadium

  • The stadium will open at 18:45 CET.
  • Away fans should enter through the South I (seats) and East II (standing room) entrances

Permitted fan merchandise:

  • Small flags (pole length up to 1.50 m)
    • With plastic tube (hollow and flexible), diameter up to 3 cm.
    • With wooden rods, diameter up to 2 cm.
  • Two-poled banners (pole length up to 1.50 m)
    • With plastic tube (hollow and flexible), diameter up to 3 cm.
  • 5 large swivel flags (pole length of over 1.50 m)
    • The swivel flags must not exceed 7 metres in length.
    • The material of the swivel flags must be flame retardant (B1) in accordance with DIN 4102 or DIN EN 1351.
    • The corresponding evidence may need to be presented to the city's fire department on request if necessary.
  • Fence flags
    • The maximum length of fence flags is 16 metres.
    • The maximum suspension height is on the third fence panel (observe yellow markings).
    • The function of emergency exit gates (approx. 2 meters wide) must not be obstructed or the fence flags will be removed.
    • The fixing of fence flags etc. in the block (e.g. on dividing walls) is prohibited.
  • Drums (open at the bottom and visible, including one set of drum sticks each)
  • 2 megaphones (including one set of spare batteries) – already allocated.
  • Banners (up to 80 cm in height, after agreement and approval by 1860 Munich (registration at least 3 days before the event).

Prohibited fan items:

  • Full-block-size flags
  • Pyrotechnics of any kind

Permitted items:

  • Small umbrellas (collapsible)
  • Digital cameras
  • Bags and backpacks smaller than A4 size

Prohibited items:

  • Throwable objects such as bottles, cans and tankards are not allowed.
  • Food and beverages
  • Larger umbrellas
  • Semi-professional equipment (video cameras or SLR cameras, cameras with interchangeable lenses) is strictly forbidden.
  • Bags and backpacks larger than A4 size

Further information about admission to the stadium:

  • There is nowhere to drop off bags and backpacks at the away entrance.
  • It is prohibited to dwell in blocks outside designated areas for away fans while wearing visible away fan clothing. In such cases, the security staff are entitled to refuse entry to the stadium or to escort fans out of these areas.

Stadium

  • The away section is located in Block A (seats) and Block P (standing room).
  • Please note that climbing the fence toward the playing field is prohibited and the security staff will take the appropriate action against anyone doing so
  • Low-alcohol beer will be available inside the stadium.
  • Cash is the only way to pay at the stadium.
