10 games, 10 wins: The "Golden Boy" has all the luck
It´s an incredible record: Mitch Langerak has played 10 competitive matches for Borussia Dortmund (six in the league, four in the cup), and the Black ´n´ Yellows have won all of them. The Australian is always ready when needed. He has quick reactions, is reliable - and loyal. On Saturday, in the Bundesliga season opener at Augsburg, Langerak will play his 11th game between the sticks for BVB.

The Australian has an exceptional presence on the pitch and tremendous reflex skills. "You think you get a beach boy from Australia, but what you really get is an unbelievable hard-working player. Mitch is very competitive," said Jürgen Klopp, adding: "Goalkeeping is a position we don´t have to worry about too much."
As Roman Weidenfeller is serving a suspension for a red card he picked up in the last game of last season, Langerak´s services are needed again on Saturday. "Mitch is a competitive player," BVB sporting director Michael Zorc told kicker magazine. "He has good reactions, he is good in the air, and he is courageous."
Munich, Hamburg, Leverkusen, Kaiserslautern, Düsseldorf - and Augsburg - the teams Langerak has faced so far in the Bundesliga. On Saturday, it will be against Augsburg again. "We can be happy to have such a great player as our number two," said goalkeeping coach Teddy de Beer. And what is Langerak saying about this great record of 10 wins from 10 games? "It´s just a statistic to me. When I play I just want to put in a good performance."
