Borussia Dortmund made short work of a passive Wolfsburg as they secured a comfortable victory, which could have been by a higher margin if the hosts, who had 24 shots to the visitors' six, had been more clinical in front of goal. Nevertheless, it was BVB's biggest win of 2017.

All-out attack: BVB equalled their season record of 24 shots on goal, while Wolfsburg conceded more shots than they have in any other match this term.

Home streak continues: Borussia Dortmund are now unbeaten on home turf in 31 Bundesliga matches. There have only been seven longer such runs in history.

Team effort: Except for Weigl and substitute Kagawa, every Dortmund outfield player had at least one shot at goal.

Match-winner: Lukasz Piszczek picked up three scorer points, finding the net once himself and setting up the two others. It was only the second time in his career he has been involved in three goals. The first came over five years ago, when BVB romped to a 6-1 win in Cologne (one goal, two assists). Five of the Pole's last nine Bundesliga goals have come from headers. With five goals now to his name this time, Piszczek is the division's most dangerous defender. He has never previously scored so many goals in a season.

First-ever header: Ousmane Dembélé's sixth competitive goal for BVB, and his fifth in the Bundesliga, was his first-ever header.

Half-time lead: The Black and Yellows have won every Bundesliga home game this season in which they have been ahead at the break.
