Starting XI debut I: Having previously only played 13 minutes in the Bundesliga – although he did deliver a strong DFB Cup performance in Magdeburg in which he scored one and made one – 18-year-old Alexander Isak made his first league start. The Swede was involved in five attempts (three shots and two assists), striking the crossbar on the stroke of half-time.

Starting XI debut II: Following two substitute appearances in the league, 17-year-old Jadon Sancho was another making his first Bundesliga start. The Englishman hit the post early in the second period.

In the thick of the action: No player set up more shots than Mario Götze (five), who won 75 percent of his challenges (9/12) and had covered a greater distance than any of his team-mates at the time of his substitution (7.6 kilometres).

Winning run over: Borussia Dortmund were unable to extend their five-match winning against VfL Wolfsburg and instead had to settle for a draw.

Jinxed: Andrey Yarmolenko has yet to score for BVB at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, with all six of his competitive goals for the Black & Yellows coming away from home. (br)
