Captain Marco Reus lauded Borussia Dortmund's improved second-half performance in their spectacular 3-2 home win over Bayern Munich, while coach Lucien Favre labelled it a "crazy game" and praised his players' spirit.

Michael Zorc: "When you're playing against Bayern Munich, you need to be more effective in front of goal than we were. But we kept creating new chances. We deserved to win. We were inferior in the opening 25 minutes but then things normalised. With Mo Dahoud on the pitch, we were better able to relieve ourselves from their pressing. That was the right decision by the coach. Paco is extremely dangerous in front of goal. He dispatches chances like that very confidently. This was Matchday 11, we're a very young squad and that was an enormous step for us today. We need to continue to grow, continue to learn and we'll do so one step at a time."

Lucien Favre: "It was a completely crazy game. Bayern were very strong, they dominated us for 25 minutes. We couldn't get the ball back. And when we did, we immediately lost it due to the way Bayern pressed. It was like a boomerang. Bayern were perhaps stronger than at any point this season. But I had the feeling that they wouldn't be able to keep up that tempo. Later on we started to feel we could win. The players' spirit was fantastic."

Marco Reus: "We didn't make a good start to the first half. Bayern had a lot of possession and piled on a lot of pressure. We didn't show much self-belief and rarely pressed, which is what we'd set out to do. It wasn't until the second half that we started to play football and believed in our game. It was an incredible match that was a lot of fun to play in. We beat Bayern at home and today there's not too much to moan about. After levelling at 2-2, we had the wind in our sails. We put our foot on the gas at that point. The coach has a golden touch. The players that come off the bench really give it their absolute all and by that point the opponent is usually a bit flat. I hope that we can build on this run. It's always good to have a cushion, but Bayern are very strong in the long run. We'll do well to focus on ourselves and to take each game one at a time. We'll have to see what happens. But it's too early to talk about whether we can become champions."

Marwin Hitz: "We could've done better from some of the counter-attacks we had, but Bayern got the goal. We knew that they wouldn't be able to keep up that tempo. We stayed calm and based on the second half it was a deserved victory."

Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich): "Dortmund countered in their own stadium. They had five or six situations that were extremely dangerous and they converted three of them. They're strong going forward and they switch the play at speed."

Mats Hummels (Bayern Munich): "When they equalised at 2-2 it completely opened up the game. We couldn't stop their counter-attacks any more, that's one of BVB's main strengths. That allowed them to create more big chances. Their enormous quality on the counter made the difference."

Niko Kovac (Bayern Munich coach): "We saw a fantastic football match from both teams today. In the first half we had the match under control, in the second Dortmund did. It could've easily finished in a draw today."
