"We did our job today," said Lucien Favre at the post-match press conference. The Swiss tactician felt it was a "deserved victory", adding: "We can be very satisfied with this season, even if we're a tad disappointed at the moment."

Lucien Favre on the balance of play:
Gladbach played very well at the beginning; they were very, very good for 15-20 minutes. We had to defend really well. We then began to take control of the game bit by bit. The opening goal was important. We were better in the second half; we had lots of possession and created some excellent chances. It was a deserved victory in the end. We did our job today.

...on his feelings after narrowly missing out on the title:
Ultimately, we're a tad disappointed. There was some hope when it was 1-1 between Bayern and Frankfurt. All in all, we only just fell short. We can be very satisfied with this season. Nobody expected us to get 76 points.

...on the possible reasons:
We conceded some unnecessary goals. That really cost us. Nonetheless, it was all still to play for until the end.

Lucien Favre's take on the season:
We picked up 34 points in the second half of the season. That's not as bad as one might think. All in all, it adds up to 76 points. We shouldn't forget that in the first half of the season we rode our luck to the max and turned a lot of games round. It was a very good season with lots of exciting games, both home and away. We can be very satisfied with this season, even if we're a tad disappointed at the moment.
