Borussia Dortmund will compete in the DFB-Pokal final for the 10th time in their history on Thursday. Here are 09 facts on the match, our team and the opponents.

 | In lockstep: Both finalists had to overcome only one Bundesliga club on their way to the final (Borussia knocked out Mönchengladbach in the quarter-finals, while Leipzig eliminated Bremen in the semi-final). Both had to go to extra-time once (BVB versus Paderborn, Leipzig in Bremen). Both kept a clean sheet in four of the previous five rounds. And both have reached the final with almost the same amount of goals scored and conceded (Borussia have a 16-2 goal difference, Leipzig's is 15-1).

 | Top-scorer: Jadon Sancho has been involved in half of the 16 goals BVB have scored en route to the final, with four goals himself and four assists. No other player has registered eight goal involvements in the cup this term.

 | Dangerous: Marco Reus has been involved in one goal in four of his five cup appearances this term (in total: two goals, two assists). Only against Paderborn did he fail to score or assist. But he did only play for four minutes and so had hardly any time to find the net or help a team-mate do so.

 | Double digits: Borussia Dortmund are in the DFB-Pokal final for the 10th time, which draws them level with 1. FC Cologne and Werder Bremen. Only Schalke 04 (12 times) and Bayern Munich (24 times) have made it there more often.

 | Young coaches: Julian Nagelsmann (33) and Edin Terzic (38) are the youngest coaching duo to ever lock horns in a DFB-Pokal final. With an average age of 35.5, they have ousted previous record holders Michael Lorkowski of Hannover 96 (37) and Jürgen Gelsdorf of Bor M’gladbach (39) from 1992.

 | Record finalist: Lukasz Piszczek is on the verge of making his sixth DFB-Pokal final appearance. No other player has managed that.

 | Successful streak: BVB have won five of their last six league games against Leipzig (plus one draw) and have scored 16 goals in the process. In total, the Black & Yellows have beaten the side from Saxony more often than any other Bundesliga club has (six times).

 | Vulnerable: Leipzig have allowed their opposition 15 shots at goal in only two of their 32 league games this season – their two defeats to BVB (3-1 and 3-2).

 | Beatable: Leipzig have the best defence in the top flight with 28 goals conceded in 32 games. But six of those goals conceded (21%) have come against the Westphalians – the most they have let in against any one opponent.
