Borussia Dortmund also occupies first place in the "season ticket table" in the Bundesliga before season 2017/18 kicks off. 99.88 per cent of the the 55000 season ticket holders from last season have renewed their season tickets for the coming season. A mere 66 BVB fans did not take advantage of their right to renew their season ticket.
The figure 99.88 % is also a new record. Last season it was 84 season ticket holders who did not renew their season tickets, the year before it was 93 - many of them did so due to private or work related issues, which meant they had to move away a long distance.
Borussia Dortmund is also in top spot throughout Europe with the highest average attentance of 79712 spectators per Bundesliga home game, followed closely by FC Barcelona from the Spanish Primera Division (77944) and Manchester United from the English Premier League (75290). (br)
