Just when Jürgen Klopp returned from the morning’s training session, Kevin Grosskreutz and Erik Durm walked through the hotel door to cross the courtyard to their rooms. The Dortmund coach didn’t even bother to get off his bike and gave both World Cup winners a big hug.

In Grosskreutz and Durm, three of Borussia Dortmund’s five World Cup players have now returned to the club, with both taking part in their first training session on Monday afternoon. Upon arrival, they were given Puma’s new training kit from BVB’s kitman Frank Gräfen.

Like Matthias Ginter, Grosskreutz and Durm cut their holiday short to train with the team. Mats Hummels, a regular at the World Cup, and veteran goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller will join in training on Saturday.
