After a strong first half showing, Edin Terzic bemoaned "giving away the ball too cheaply and unnecessarily." Our reaction to the 3-3 draw against Hoffen:heim from co-trainers Terzic and Manfred Stefes, as well as Julian Weigl, Mario Götze and Raphael Guerreiro.

Edin Terzic: "The first half played out as we had planned it. We were able to use the wings and bring Jadon into the game. In my opinion, he (Jadon) had an exceptional game and we deserved to go into the break leading 2-0. After the interval, we started giving away the ball too cheaply and unnecessarily near our own penalty area. It's tough to take when you are leading 3-0 with 15 minutes remaining and end up conceding three goals. It's frustrating to throw away a lead three times in seven days. However, we have a very young team who are allowed to make mistakes. We do want to tackle this though in order to become stronger."

Manfred Stefes: "It's extremely hard to take given we played a great game for 75 minutes and could have gone 4-0 up, but then we go on to only draw. We were a little bit naïve in our defending for the three goals, and unfortunately lost the decisive battles. During the match, we were in contact with Lucien Favre and I spoke with him on the telephone briefly after the game finished. He's just as disappointed as we are. Of course, it's very annoying, but we still gained a point. The team will put this game behind them."

Julian Weigl: "It's very, very annoying. I think we started the game well, totally dominating the opening half and didn't allow a single chance on goal. We were always dangerous going forward. After the break, as Hoffenheim made some changes by bringing on another striker and began to put us under serious pressure, we scored a third goal which was vital. However, we still didn't play with enough freedom, hardly enjoyed any possession and only used the long ball. We conceded from set-plays which we had prepared for, that is so annoying. We have to learn from this, we cannot afford this to happen again."

Mario Götze: "We played very well for long spells, we're leading 3-0 and have the chance to make it 4-0 - that has to be enough at home even against a very good team like Hoffenheim. It's really bitter to not see the game out. We have to be more solid and efficient. However, I see many positives."

Raphael Guerreiro: "It actually was going well until we started making mistakes. It's difficult to explain and it feels like a defeat. We have to improve and hang in there."
