Alomerovic plans his next step in his career in Kaiserslautern

Zlatan Alomerovic will be transferring to 1.FC Kaiserslautern. After nine years with BVB the fourth best goalkeeper of the past season in the third Bundesliga and number three in the professional squad of Borussia Dortmund is looking for a new challenge.

The 23 year old, who has been wearing the Black Yellow jersey since the B-Youth, said: “everything that I can do I have learned playing for Borussia. He added: “I really enjoyed the nine years and now want to make the next step in my professional career. “ He will be transferring to the ambitious second division team 1.FC Kaiserslautern, who have offered him a contract until 2017. “I am a professional through and through and am looking forward to the challenge.”

Alomerovic played 96 games for BVB in the third division and 16 matches in the fourth division. He was on the bench as the reserve goalkeeper eight times in the Bundesliga, and also one time in the UEFA Champions League and three times in the DFB Cup (including the final in 2014 and the semi-final in 2015).

Sporting Director Michael Zorc said: “we are losing a very talented goalkeeper and a very lovely person in Zlatan. We want to wish him all the best for his future."

Both teams would not comment regarding the transfer fee. (br)
