Borussia Dortmund and its supplier PUMA today present the home shirt for the 2017/18 season. The motto is "Pure Emotion". Passion, willpower, love for the game and enthusiasm – the new home shirt aims to bring to life the emotions and attributes that make the eight-time German champions so special for their fans both at home and abroad.

On Wednesday evening, supporters had the chance to buy the new kit at a late-night shopping event at the BVB FanWorld. Around 350 customers popped in over the course of the evening to purchase the new shirt and get autographs from Alexander Isak, Emre Mor and club mascot Emma.

In the days leading up to the shirt launch, both BVB and PUMA asked all Black and Yellow fans to send in their personal messages of motivation for the team. Each of the players will have their favourite fan message inside their collar as a motivational boost at the premiere for the new shirts – the last matchday of the current Bundesliga campaign at home to Werder Bremen.

In addition, the fan messages that are selected will be printed onto the shirts worn by the players for the season highlight, the DFB Cup final in Berlin on 27 May, to give them an extra push.

The new home shirt has retained the classic yellow colour, but now features horizontal stripes that change from black to yellow and vice versa as they move across the shirt. The PUMA formstrip in the shoulder area has also adopted the new design. BVB's embroidered web logo, the embroidered PUMA cat logo and the shirt sponsor Evonik adorn the front of the shirt as they have done this season, while the classic "DORTMUND" letterung is printed on the back.

Speaking about the new shirt, BVB midfielder Marco Reus said: "I like the new design PUMA have developed. The horizontal stripes with changing colours are really cool. Now we want to round off the season in style in the new shirts, and then challenge on all fronts in the coming season and achieve as much success as possible."

The replica shirt is now available in all BVB fan shops and online at www.bvb.de/shop at an unchanged RRP of EUR 79.95.
