The UEFA Champions League match against AFC Ajax has prompted a delegation from Borussia Dortmund to visit Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

"The story of Anne Frank and her family is well known all over the world. To visit the hiding place and the Anne Frank House here in Amsterdam today was very poignant for all of us," explains Hans-Joachim Watzke, chairman of the BVB board of directors. "The cooperation with the Anne Frank House began in 2015 and has become more and more intensive over the years. To now visit the Anne Frank House ourselves was something very important to us and an experience that was both depressing and touching," added BVB managing director Carsten Cramer, who was there along with Daniel Lörcher (head of corporate responsibility at BVB).

In the past, BVB and the Anne Frank House have worked together on the "Changing the Chants" project, drawing up guidelines for tackling anti-Semitism in football. Ronald Leopold, Managing Director of the Anne Frank House, said: "We look forward to the visit of BVB! We have worked together on important projects for a very long time and hopefully we will continue to do so in future."
