Eight-time German champions Borussia Dortmund have extended the contracts of youth national team players Dzenis Burnic, Felix Passlack, David Sauerland and Dominik Reimann until the summer of 2018.

The quartet became German champions with Borussia Dortmund's U17s last year. Burnic and Passlack, both 16, are part of the U17 side that is currently sitting in first place in the B Juniors Bundesliga West, a position which would once again see them compete in the final rounds of the German championship. Sauerland and Reimann, both 17, currently represent the U19 side occupying fifth place in the A Juniors Bundesliga West.

"It wasn't just winning the title last season that demonstrated just how important these four young lads are for us. They've also shown real signs of their continuing positive development this year. The fact that all four have been given long-term contracts underlines our long-term work here at BVB," said youth coordinator Lars Ricken.
