It’s a topic we care passionately about - racism and discrimination of any kind have no place at Borussia Dortmund! For their commitment, BVB and their fans have earned a lot of recognition in the last couple of months, including the Julius Hirst Award from the German Football Association.

During last weekend’s home game against Hannover 96, BVB fans made a clear statement against right-wing extremism. “We DO mind Nazis on the South – Borussia Dortmund International” or “30 players, 13 nations, one BVB” it read on banners displayed throughout the stadium, not only on the South Stand, as BVB’s Fan Department writes on their website. “In the away game in Cologne, BVB fans were already holding up posters with clear messages against xenophobia and discrimination. Whether these banners were from individuals or groups doesn’t matter at all. What is important is the message, which is strongly welcomed by BVB’s fan and funding department.”
