When all was said and done, goals from Mladen Petric and Henrique Ewerthon were not enough to see the BVB legends team continue their unbeaten run. Although the defeat hurts, this has nonetheless been a trip to remember for the Dortmund old boys.

The current Champions League winners' legend side took the lead after just five minutes thanks to a goal from Salif Diao, but Borussia were quick to hit back with a goal from Mladen Petric in the 21st minute, set up by some strong play from Mohamed Zidan. However, Liverpool immediately went down the other end and scored their second goal of the match. It was a former BVB player, Patrick Berger, who found the back of the net this time round. Seven minutes later, Borussia's brilliant Brazilian Ewerthon brought the two sides back on level terms. The Black & Yellows pushed hard for a winner, but it wasn't to be their day. A Robbie Fowler penalty meant that it was the team in red who emerged victorious.

It's been an eventful trip for the BVB legends, with highlights including the match at Hong Kong stadium and the dragon boat run. All that's left on Sunday is a tour of the city before the team fly back home. All we have to say is: thanks lads!
