BVB to host FC Augsburg at 15:30 CET on a Saturday
The German Football League (DFL) has set the precise times and dates for the first six rounds of matches in the 2019/20 season. Borussia Dortmund will kick off the campaign – the 57th in Bundesliga history – with a home game against FC Augsburg at the traditional kick-off time of 15:30 CET on Saturday 17 August.
BVB will start their season with two Saturday matches (15:30 CET and 18:30 CET respectively), one Friday evening fixture and a Sunday game. The home game against Augsburg on the opening day will be followed by a Friday night trip to 1. FC Cologne on 23 August (20:30 CET). The next fixture – against promoted outfit 1. FC Union Berlin – is the top match of Matchday 3 and will be played at the Alten Försterei at 18:30 CET on Saturday 31 August.
Domestic duties after the first international break will be resumed against Bayer Leverkusen at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday 14 September (15:30 CET), before travelling to Europa League participants Eintracht Frankfurt the following Sunday (18:00 CET). The month will finish at home to Werder Bremen on the 28 September (18:30 CET).
