13 BVB pros are out on international duty. Jude Bellingham and Raphael Guerreiro got their respective Euro qualification campaigns off to a successful start on Thursday, while Sebastian Haller put in an impressive goalscoring performance for Côte d'Ivoire on Friday night.

Six of the 13 Black and Yellows on duty with their national teams are commencing their qualifying campaigns for the 2024 European Championship finals over the current international break. Jude Bellingham and the England national team came out on top in a rematch of the UEFA EURO 2020 final, winning 2-1 against Italy, with the Three Lions' number 10 starting in central midfield in Naples. He played for 85 minutes before being replaced by Chelsea's Conor Gallagher.

After recent appearances in midfield for BVB, Raphael Guerreiro returned to the left-back slot in Portugal's four-man backline. The Iberians kicked off their EURO qualifying campaign with a comfortable 4-0 win over Liechtenstein. Borussia's 2016 European champion played the full 90 minutes at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon.

After almost nine months of absence, striker Sebastien Haller made his return to international action with Côte d'Ivoire. In the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Côte d'Ivoire faced Comoros at home in Bouaké on Friday. Haller was in the starting XI and crowned his comeback in the 61st minute with the goal to make it 2-0. The BVB player headed a cross from Stephane Singo (Torino) into the bottom right corner from near the penalty spot. Five minutes later, his race was run. Côte d'Ivoire ran out 3-1 winners in the end.

There was a win and a defeat for the Black & Yellow contingent in action in the European Championship qualifiers on Friday evening. Donyell Malen's Netherlands were beaten 4-0 by an impressive World Cup runner-up France in Paris. Malen was substituted for Ajax's Steven Berghuis after 67 minutes with the score at 3-0. Thomas Meunier and Belgium, on the other hand, fared better as they won their opening match 3-0 in Sweden. Borussia's full-back was on the bench for the full 90 minutes.

Gio Reyna and the USA were in action in the CONCACAF Nations League on Friday night. The USMNT team cruised to a 7-1 victory in Grenada. Reyna started the match on the right of midfield and was replaced by Taylor Booth of Eredivisie club Utrecht after 64 minutes as the scoreboard read 6-1.

On Wednesday, the Germany U19s started their qualifying campaign for the European Championships. BVB defender Tom Rothe played 70 minutes of a 3-2 home defeat to Italy before being replaced by Justin Diehl of 1. FC Köln twenty minutes before the final whistle.

Soumaila Coulibaly is on duty with the France U20s, who beat the USA U20s 4-0 in a friendly match on Wednesday. Coulibaly came on after 65 minutes with the score at 2-0.
