Borussia Dortmund condemns the far-right terrorist attack which targeted a synagogue in the German town of Halle. BVB would like to express its deepest sympathy for the relatives of the victims. The club wishes all those injured a speedy recovery and would like to express its full solidarity with the Jewish community in Germany.

Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of Borussia Dortmund, gave the following statement: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the two victims at these most difficult of times. There is absolutely no place for Anti-Semitism in our society. Jewish people must be able to live in safety in Germany. Anti-Semitic rhetoric, which forms the ideological basis for violent acts of this nature, must be unequivocally contradicted in every instance. Anti-Semitic attacks of every kind must be prosecuted and punished with the full force of the law. For a great many years, Borussia Dortmund has been committed to working together with fans, employees, partners and sponsors in the fight against anti-Semitism and in favour of a diverse and open society. Through education and networking, BVB does all it can to combat these tendencies, in the stadium and beyond. This will continue to be the case in the future.''
