BVB shot-stopper Roman Bürki has been diagnosed with a capsule sprain in his left knee. The injury was sustained in yesterday's 1-0 home win over Borussia Mönchengladbach. However, his involvement in the Champions League match against Inter Milan on Wednesday has not been ruled out.

Bürki was forced off in the 71st minute of the match against Gladbach, shortly after sustaining the injury while punching the ball. He was replaced between the sticks by Marwin Hitz for the final 20 minutes.

However, his involvement on Wednesday evening – BVB travel away to Inter Milan in the Champions League at 21:00 CET – remains a possibility. Bürki is working with the medical department towards a comeback at the Guiseppe Meazza Stadium.
