The BVB legends team are in action this coming weekend, when they’ll travel to Werratal to face the Ostborussen (East Borussen).

The Borussia legends team are spending the weekend in Thüringen, more precisely in the historic town of Treffurt by the Werra river. The Treffurt Ostburussen (East Borussen) have organised a large fan event for Saturday afternoon which will centre around the BVB old boys match, which is set to take place in the Normannstein Stadium at 15:00 CET. The Black & Yellows, led by captain Michael Lusch, will have to give their all if they want to claim victory in front of the town’s iconic landmark, Normannstein Castle. The team of former BVB stars includes Steffen Karl, once of local side Hallescher FC, who is certain to receive a warm welcome from the locals. The Saxony-born defensive player made 72 Bundesliga appearances for BVB and was part of then head coach Otmar Hitzfeld’s starting line-up for the 1993 UEFA Cup final against Juventus.
