BVB on Monday kicked off the second part of their Asia Tour by making the five-hour journey from Tokyo to the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, where both sporting and PR events await them.

In a repeat of their arrival in the Japanese capital on Friday, several hundred fans were waiting at the airport in Guangzhou to provide the BVB players with a warm welcome as they touched down in the Chinese city.

Marc Bartra, Marcel Schmelzer and Roman Weidenfeller then accepted an invitation from PUMA to take part in Chinese martial arts, before the players took part in a preparatory training session – held in torrential rain – ahead of tomorrow's (13:20 CET) match against AC Milan. "This Asia Tour and these matches are an important experience for the players," declared coach Peter Bosz, who will be without Marcel Schmelzer when the Black & Yellows take on the Italian giants tomorrow, following an incident in training. (br)
