The Borussia Dortmund youth sides experienced mixed fortunes in their respective derbies on Sunday: the U17s won 5-0 away at FC Schalke 04, while the U19s unluckily lost 1-0 to the Royal Blues in front of 1,000 spectators in Brackel.

Coach Sebastian Geppert's charges, who are yet to lose a league match, delivered a dominant display in Gelsenkirchen-Ückendorf. Youssoufa Moukoko (two), Tim Böhmer, Stanislav Fehler and Rilind Hetemi got the goals for the table-toppers, whose next fixture is a meeting with SC Paderborn in Brackel next Sunday (kick-off 11:00 CET).

Meanwhile, a penalty decided the outcome of the U19 derby. BVB missed a series of excellent opportunities in the opening period, even hitting the crossbar through Emre Aydinel in the 44th minute, but ultimately ended up on the losing side and were displaced at the top of the table by rivals 1. FC Köln. (wiwi)
