Borussia Dortmund U19 coach Benjamin Hoffmann is expecting his young charges to bounce back from their 4-3 defeat at the hands of Borussia Mönchengladbach in the first Bundesliga match after the winter break when they travel away to Maccaiba Haifa in the UEFA Youth League play-offs on Tuesday (16:30 CET, live on Sport1).

"We want to beat Haifa and reach the last 16", the 37-year-old said before boarding the flight to Israel. He will be without midfielder Orel Mangala, who is suspended after being sent off against Madrid earlier in the competition, and striker David Kopacz, who has a cold and a high temperature. The reigning German champions were the only Bundesliga side to qualify for the play-off round.

Accompanied by a delegation from Maccaibi Haifa, Borussia's entire travelling party visited the Beit Terezin memorial near Tel Aviv on Wednesday. (wiwi)
