The Borussia Dortmund first team kicked off the new week of training on Tuesday afternoon. Due to the upcoming international break, the number of players present was significantly lower than usual. The public training session at the youth stadium on the Dortmund-Brackel training premises was watched by several Black & Yellow supporters in the stands.

Following the much-lauded derby win and the two days off that followed, the players who remained started the new week of training in optimal mood. At 16:00 CET, the team – which included eight outfield players plus goalkeepers Alexander Meyer and Marcel Lotka – made their way out onto the pitch.

Led by athletics coach Shad Forsythe, the team started with coordination exercises and sprints to warm up. Up next was a passing exercise in which assistant coach Peter Hermann repeatedly emphasised the sharpness of the passing. While the two goalkeepers worked with goalkeeping coach Matthias Kleinsteiber, the outfield players took part in a three-way game in close confines.

Before selfie and autograph requests were fulfilled, the fans watched on in delight as Mats Hummels & Co. banged the goals in during a shooting drill.

The Black & Yellows will not be in action this coming weekend. Head coach Edin Terzic's team will continue their Bundesliga campaign with a trip to 1. FC Cologne on Saturday 1 October (15:30 CET).
