Former BVB player Johannes Focher has joined the Borussia Dortmund women's football team as goalkeeping coach.

"I'm delighted that Johannes is strengthening our coaching team and that we can finally offer our goalkeepers specialised training," said Svenja Schlenker, head of the girls' and women's football department at BVB. Johannes Focher, who became a German champion on two occasions and won the DFB-Pokal once during his five years at BVB (2008-2012 and 2013-2014), has known Thomas Sulewski's coaching team for quite some time and until recently played alongside BVB women's coach Tim Treude at RSV Meinerzhagen. "The coaching team and I are convinced that Johannes will integrate quickly and well, and that his experience will help our goalkeepers to develop and become even stronger," Schlenker added.
