On his first day in Dortmund, new signing Jude Bellingham completed a programme that took him between all the important places at BVB: from the training centre in Brackel to the headquarters at Rheinlanddamm to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.

It is "exciting to be here", said the young Englishman as he made his way through Dortmund. "I'm really enjoying it right now, I'm getting to know everybody, as well as the city and the stadium." After walking from the BVB changing room and down the players' tunnel, Bellingham finally stood on the pitch and let his gaze wander towards the stands. He was immediately impressed by SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. "When I saw the size of the stadium, the number of seats, how high and wide everything is, plus the quotations and pictures inside the stadium, I understood how big this club is."

Bellingham joins from English Championship outfit Birmingham City, where he has played since the age of seven. The transfer to BVB has come at exactly the right moment, he explained. "There's no better club in the world at promoting young talents and taking them to the next step of their careers. I would like to continue my development here and contribute with titles and victories."

Bellingham describes his style on the pitch as creative, versatile and persistent. His footballing role model is his countryman Wayne Rooney. (cr)
