BVB player Donyell Malen scored the final goal as Netherlands beat Gibraltar 6-0 in a World Cup qualifier. Elsewhere, Ansgar Knauff made his debut for the Germany U21s.

Having been called up from the standby list, attacking player Ansgar Knauff made his debut for the Germany U21 team on Tuesday evening. He came on as a 67th-minute substitute in the 5-1 victory in Hungary.

Earlier, on Monday evening, Donyell Malen came on as a 78th-minute substitute in the Netherlands' match against Gibraltar and scored eight minutes later to complete a 6-0 victory. 

Elsewhere, the German national team wrapped up their place at the 2022 World Cup with a 4-0 win in North Macedonia. BVB captain Marco Reus did not feature in the match.

And Marin Pongracic was an unused substitute in Croatia's 2-2 stalemate with Slovakia.
