Only 300 spectators will be permitted to attend the 157th Ruhr derby between Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04, which will kick off at 18:30 CET on Saturday evening. Due to the high incidence rate at this time, the public health department did not permit a higher number in order to protect against new coronavirus infections.

35,000 season ticket holders and club members from North Rhine-Westphalia applied for tickets to the derby. The 300 places available will now be distributed among the applicants. Written notification will be sent to the winners as well as those who will unfortunately not be allowed to attend.

SIGNAL IDUNA PARK will open at 17:30 CET on Saturday evening – one hour before kick-off. There will not be time slots to enter the stadium, as was previously the case for the home games against Borussia Mönchengladbach (9,300 spectators) and SC Freiburg (11,500).

The application portal for the first UEFA Champions League home game against Zenit St. Petersburg on 28 October (21:00 CET) has been open for season ticket holders and club members from North Rhine-Westphalia since this afternoon (Monday). Borussia Dortmund are currently presuming that only 300 tickets will be available for this match too. (br)
