On Monday evening, all official BVB Fan Clubs were welcomed to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK for the second Fan Delegates' Meeting of the season. Over 500 BVB fans from 260 fan clubs accepted the invitation from the Fan Affairs Department to attend the event.

The Fan Delegates' Meeting is organised twice a year by the fan representatives in the Fan Affairs Department and serves as a forum for all BVB fan clubs to inform themselves about current developments related to BVB and, above all, about new fan club matters. Additionally, it gives the fan club representatives the opportunity to take part in Q&A sessions involving guests such as coaches, players or the executive management.

Björn Hegemann, head of the Fan Affairs Department, kicked off the Fan Delegates' Meeting at 19:00 CET and welcomed all the attendees. At the beginning of the meeting, Hans-Joachim Watzke fielded questions from the fan club members in attendance as part of a discussion session that lasted 45 minutes and was presented by Nobby Dickel. The attendees showed a particular interest in the Erling Haaland transfer.

Following the discussion session Carsten Cramer, another representative of the executive management, and Dr. Christian Hockenjos, head of organisation, fielded further questions relating to topics such as marketing and organisation. In the next part, the fan representatives reported about the current personnel structure of the department and about different topics related to fans and fan clubs. Among other things, the updated fan club area on the BVB website was unveiled.

In addition to the visits of Hans-Joachim Watzke, Carsten Cramer and Dr. Christian Hockenjos, another key element of the meeting was the election of a new Fan Council. As part of this process, Björn Hegemann first reported about the Fan Council over the last two years and then, at the end of the meeting, the result of the Fan Council election was published. At this stage, the Fan Affairs Department would once again like to thank all members of the Fan Council for their constructive cooperation and involvement over the last two years.

You can find an overview of the current members of the Fan Council, as well as further information about the responsibilities and role of the Fan Council, on bvb.de. In addition, following the monthly Fan Council meetings, minutes are to be published in a bid to make the work and the results achieved by the Fan Council more transparent. The latest minutes from the Fan Council meeting on 13 January can be found here.

At this point, we'd like to once again thank all fan club representatives for their involvement! For other questions related to the Fan Delegates' Meeting or fan club-specific issues, you can happily contact fanclubs@bvb.de.
