BVB coach Edin Terzic was greeted by just eight outfield players and three goalkeepers on the training pitch on Wednesday morning. The majority of the squad members involved in the 3-1 friendly win in Lünen on Tuesday evening instead took part in a recovery session in the fitness suite.

Mateu Morey played no part in the team training session, but he did run a few laps around the pitch. However, Terzic was able to welcome Marco Reus and Gregor Kobel - both of whom returned to the group earlier than scheduled after international duty - to the hour-long session.

After the warm-up, the small group of players did a passing drill, in which they had to dispatch the ball quickly and accurately to their teammates' feet. Loud cries of ''Yes'' from assistant coach Peter Hermann greeted every successful pass. The squad members then moved into a small game without goals, which again emphasised passing skills.

Reus, Mats Hummels and Marius Wolf then left the session, while the other five outfield players finished up with an attacking drill which included taking shots at goalkeeper Silas Ostrzinski.

Team training will be open to fans again on Monday. Further information can be accessed here.
