It was an evening to forget for Borussia Dortmund. Speaking to BVB TV following the 2-1 defeat in Augsburg, a soaked Thomas Delaney shared his thoughts on the game.

Thomas Delaney on the match against FC Augsburg:
"It's a bad result. We gave it a good go but we didn't have enough control. The team's performance wasn't good enough. I don't want to talk about individual errors. That can happen now and again when you have possession the whole time. We need to be better as a team in such situations and defender better after individual errors like that."

...on the lack of clinical finishing in front of the opposition goal:
"That's not so easy to explain. Sometimes you have a run where they just don't go in for you. Jakob had a huge opportunity, Paco had another before he scored. The Augsburg goalkeeper had a top game. These little things make the difference in terms of whether you get three points or none. Unfortunately it was none today."

...on the lessons learned from the defeat:
"We need to learn from our mistakes and improve. The way we performed in Augsburg wasn't good enough." (tl)
