Arrival and departure
Travel information for the Wolfsburg game – stretch of railway closed
Borussia Dortmund will meet VfL Wolfsburg at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on Saturday afternoon (kick-off at 15:30 CET). Please note when travelling that the stretch of railway between Dortmund Hauptbahnhof and the stadium is closed due to renovation work and that the public transport offering is greatly reduced. In addition, the DEW21 Museum Night is taking place in Dortmund and many visitors are expected to attend.
Deutsche Bahn is renovating 2.2 kilometres of rails, sleepers and ballast on the stretch of track up until 8 October. The home game against Union Berlin (7/10) will also take place during the period of closure.
Trains cannot stop at the Signal-Iduna-Park train station. The only exception is the RB 53 from Iserlohn/Schwerte.
The trains on line RE 57 (DB Regio) between Dortmund Hbf and Fröndenberg will be diverted. The Dortmund-Hörde stop will be omitted; alternatively, the trains will stop at Witten Hbf. and Schwerte (Ruhr).
The trains on lines RB 53 (DB Regio) and RB 59 (eurobahn) will be cancelled between Dortmund Hbf. and Dortmund-Hörde. As a replacement, buses will stop at all stops. In addition, the U-Bahn line U41 can be used.
The trains on line RB 52 (DB Regio) are cancelled between Dortmund Hbf. and Herdecke. Buses will run as a replacement and stop at all stops.
It is strongly recommended that you choose alternative arrival and departure options. Stops will be made at Dortmund-Hbf., Dortmund-Möllerbrücke (S4) and Dortmund-Hörde. From there, you can use the Stadtbahn and/or the rail replacement service or walk to the stadium.

Stadtbahn trains
Stadtbahn lines U45, U42, U46
The U45 (Fredenbaum – Hbf – Westfalenhallen) will run at least every five minutes between the Hauptbahnhof and Stadion stops from about three hours before the start of the match and up to 90 minutes after the final whistle.
At the Hauptbahnhof, football fans will be directed to the platform via the North Entrance – like in previous seasons – in order to improve access to the Stadtbahn station.
SIGNAL IDUNA PARK is also easy to reach via the U42 (Grevel – Schulte Rödding – Reinoldikirche – Theodor-Fliedner-Heim – Hombruch) and U46 (Brunnenstraße/Brügmannplatz – Reinoldikirche – Westfalenhallen) Stadtbahn lines. The closest stops to the stadium are Theodor-Fliedner-Heim (U42) and Westfalenhallen (U46).
Uni Shuttle, bus lines 450, 452, 448
The Uni Shuttle will again run between the University and the Theodor-Fliedner-Heim bus stop. The bus line 450 will be significantly bolstered by additional vehicles between Kirchhörde and Westfalenhallen. There will also be two additional buses on route 452 ("Löschteich-E-Wagen") from Westfalenhallen to Schüren/Aplerbeck and an additional "E-Wagen" on route 448 from Barop Parkhaus in the direction of Kruckel.
Restrictions due to construction works
Due to construction work (renovation of the railway bridge) by Deutsche Bahn, there will be disruptions on bus routes 447, 450 and NE7 in the area of Hagener Straße/Weiße Taube until 30 October. Those routes will have to take long-distance detours.
Combi-tickets and passenger information
BVB match tickets are valid on the day of the game as a combi-ticket for one outbound and one return journey. The ticket can be used on all local trains with no surcharge (second class) as well as on all buses and trains operated by local transport companies throughout NRW.
All additional BVB journeys can be found in the electronic timetable information (www.bus-und-bahn.de) as well as via the DSW21 and VRR apps.
